2013 Nationals Update

Well guys we have been in touch with the organisers of the upcoming RG65 Nationals at Huntingdon which will be in full swing 2 weeks today.

The organisers have informed us that entries are currently in the high teens and they should hit the mid twenties or above by the time that the entries close on the 18th September.

The current entry list is looking good with some top names coming to play and from the Dragon Force perspective there are nearly half the entered skippers sailing a Dragon Force 65 which should lead to some excellent and close racing.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, if you have never entered a race event before this one will be the perfect introduction.  The two day event is being split with the Nationals being held on the Sunday.

The Saturday will consist of some free sailing and tuning during the morning followed by some informal races during the afternoon session.  There will be a wealth of experience on hand to help you tune your rig for best performance in the conditions with everyone being very approachable and helpful.

With the above in mind Mike from RC Yachts has decided to withdraw from sailing in the Nationals on the Sunday and instead he will be in attendance with a full support package for the DF skippers.  He will have a full complement of spares and will be on hand to help any new skippers to tune their boats and offer his own unique brand of encouragement to the DF skippers throughout the race weekend.

If you are worried about not having rigs and sails for the event then fret no more, Mike has found a limited number of rig kits and of course sails are available from a number of places, or you can make your own if you fancy it!

The notice of race and entry form are in a post  further down this page so go on get your entry in.
